Leg burn update - look away now!

8 days later and it's finally stopped weeping.

There's a message in this: Don't go anywhere near your rotor after you've descended down the Mega qualifying track - it's rather hot.

And I only brushed against it for a microsecond - ouch.

Mega randoms

All taken with the camera phone - hence the crappy quality!

Highlights include the blury bar shot where were roped into a VERY odd thumb waving sing along. Proof that I took the prince albert up to the Glacier for a practice run of the Mega Course on a hard tail (arm pump anyone?).  Then the final setup for my Mega race bike - the Nomad plus joplin uppy downy seatpin, larson TT rear tyre for speed if not grip. And Sara rocking the dh youth look on the final day - tee shirt, full face, no bag etc - perhaps a little un-practical!

And then there's the hotel that thinks it's christmas all year long!

Until next year....

Cider and pancakes

There's nothing like the crepes at the Attray Crepery to finish a good day in the saddle! And the Cider there is great - makes for an interesting final descent back to Morzine!

A belated good bye to Fionn and co!

Just found this pic on the camera - the Fionn and the Norco team before they headed off a couple of weeks back. Bye team!

Left to right - Tom the Photographer, John the Mechanic, Jo the racer, Sara the flowmtb owner, Fionn the racer and Neven the racer and injured party (she fractured her pelvis in practice for the Maribor 4X World Cup - poor thing couldn't ride her bike during the stay - she did read most of the internet though!)

Megavalanche done and very much dusted. One broken leg in the chalet, but he's still smiling. Great event and a great week.

Fionn Griffiths training in Morzine

Fionn Griffiths, Joanna Peterson, Neven Steinmetz, Melissa Buhl, Emmeline Ragot....

It seems all the top female riders are training in Morzine and staying/eating at flowmtb at the moment. Fionn, Jo and Neven are here staying with flowmtb in our Morzine chalet for a few weeks. Melissa, the current 4x world champ came out for the weekend and joined the famous flowmtb sunday night BBQ. Emmeline turned up in town today and joined us for thai curry and banana tatin tonight.

The Morzine and Portes du Soleil downhills are the perfect training ground for these girls. And top flowmtb chef Jess is making sure they're well fed. Secretly we're trying to feed them up too much in the vain hope we can keep up :) So far it's not working.....
