Morzine road cycling
First ride of the year up to Avoriaz today. Saw a friend just before setting off and said 'just going to pedal up to Avoriaz'. Not long later and i realised i should have said, 'I'm going to slowly and painfully grind my way up to Avoriaz'.
It's only my second road ride of the year, but, despite the pain, was great. A little tougher than I remember, but that's just the effect of a winter of snow and not much cycling. Going to try again and see if I can beat my time on Sunday.
It's great to see the snow melting too. There's been a lot of it this winter, but now the ski season's over it's quickly melting away to reveal our favourite mtb trails. Not long till the Morzine lifts re-open for mountain bikers.
